Chabali – a small and precious collection of individual fashion accessories. Whether a handbag, a belt, a shawl, jewelry or a tunique – everything is manufactured by hand in a limited edition. Every collection follows a theme inspired by colors, shapes or other elements.

Chabali is the brainchild of Brigitte Horatz. Since Spring 2005 collections are created in Bali where Brigitte finds her inspirations in the vast choice of fabrics, colors and quality materials. Also the out-of-the-ordinary way of life on the Indonisian island influences her design. „The island is like an oasis of creativity, legerté, beauty and joy for me , which have always been and which are an ideal to nurture the development of my collection.“

Chabali intentionally differentiates itsself from industrial mass production by giving each piece an individual, creative note. Brigitte`s concern: „I do not want to create production overruns but rather offer a sizable collection which convinces through individuality. Like discovering something special that you would bring back from a holiday to a best friend.“

Chabali is also a wonderful example of global cooperation from which both sides benefit. Whilst Brigitte spots unique materials and often otherwise jobless talents on the island, the Balinese are happy about the extended distribution possibilities in Europe.

Chabali’s principal channel of distribution is the internet which allows prices to stay at a moderate level. The direct communication with the customer via the internet shop guarantees the authenticity of the brand . The online shop design is as much an intrinsic part of the Chabali brand as the carefully and exclusivly wrapped products. Throughout the production process – from design to distribution – Chabali products show an individual signature. And ultimately the consumer will share the feeling that she has acquired a particular piece uniting individuality and beauty.
